TattsLotto is the Saturday game with a minimum $5 million jackpot. Draws take place shortly after 7:30pm AEST every week and there are six prize divisions on offer.
The game is played all over Australia but it is only known as TattsLotto in Victoria, Tasmania and the Northern Territory. It creates a huge number of winners every week and the Division 1 prize very rarely rolls over, while there are also regular Superdraws that boost the jackpot to $20 million or beyond.
How to Play TattsLotto
Playing Saturday Lotto is very straightforward. Go to any lottery store in Victoria, the Northern Territory or Tasmania and follow the steps below:
- Select six numbers from 1 to 45. Opt for a Quick Pick if you want a random set or choose your own with a marked entry.
- Indicate how many draws you wish to enter, up to a maximum of 10 in advance.
- Pay for your entries. The minimum play is four games, which costs $3.30.
- Keep your ticket safe until the draw takes place.
- View the latest Results as soon as they are available.
You can also play a system entry to increase your chances of winning. This involves picking between seven and 20 numbers instead of the normal six. From your chosen numbers, every possible combination of six is then entered into the draw. The cost increases proportionally for each combination you enter, but the odds of winning also improve with each one.
The deadline for ticket sales is 7:30pm on Saturday night. The draw takes place shortly afterwards. Eight numbers are selected - six main balls followed by two supplementary numbers from the remaining 39.
There are six TattsLotto divisions so there are various ways to win prizes. If all six of your numbers are the same as the main six, you win a share of the $5 million jackpot. The Division 1 prize carries forward to the next draw if there are no winners, but usually there are multiple players who grab a share of the jackpot.
You can also win for matching fewer numbers, starting with three. The table below shows all the different TattsLotto divisions, as well as the odds of winning and some details of the dividends won.
