Monday Lotto
Monday Lotto is a weekly draw that offers up to four Division 1 winners a guaranteed jackpot of $1 million. Draws take place on Monday nights at 7:30pm AEST, with six numbers from 1 to 45 selected at random followed by two supplementary numbers.
Monday Lotto started as a New South Wales specific lottery in 1979 and is now played nationally across Australia, crowning thousands of winners each week. See the latest results as soon as they are available and learn more about the game below.
Monday Lotto Update
It has been announced by lottery officials that Monday Lotto, along with Wednesday Lotto, will no longer be available from May 2024. The last Monday Lotto draw will be held on 13 May 2024. Starting from 11 March 2024, Advance Play and Multiweek tickets will be temporarily unavailable.
Please note that these changes are subject to regulatory approval. More information will be released in May.
How to Play and Win

View all FAQsMonday and Wednesday Lotto are played in exactly the same way, and special events sometimes take place alongside both games to give players even more excitement. These regular promotions are known as Double Your Win draws and Cashcade Celebrations.
Double Your Win
Double Your Win draws are scheduled from time to time and help to create larger prizes than normal in five of the six divisions. As the name of the promotion suggests, the value of your prize is automatically doubled if you win. This applies to every prize apart from the jackpot, which remains at a fixed $1 million per winner.
Cashcade Celebrations
When a Cashcade Celebration takes place, $1 million is guaranteed to be won in every draw. The promotional period usually lasts for a few weeks, covering all Monday and Wednesday Lotto draws. If there are no Division 1 winners in a draw, the $1 million ‘cascades’ down so that it is split between all the other winners in Divisions 2 to 6. Here is how the $1 million is split:
- Division 2 winners share $42,000
- Division 3 winners share $65,000
- Division 4 winners share $185,000
- Division 5 winners share $263,000
- Division 6 winners share $445,000
If there were 10 Division 2 winners, for example, they would each receive $4,200 from a Cashcade. This goes on top of the usual Division prize.
