How to Play Monday Lotto
To play Monday Lotto, select six numbers between 1 and 45 for the chance to win the top prize of $1 million. You can buy tickets from newsagents and convenience stores across Australia. Monday Lotto draws take place just after 7:30pm AEST every week. Find out more about how to play, including all the different entry types.
Monday Lotto Entry Types
Ticket sales for Monday Lotto close at 7:30pm AEST on the day of the draw, apart from in Western Australia where the cut-off time is 6:00pm AWST. Playslips are available in every state, and you can choose between these different entry types:
If you know the numbers you want to play, select a standard marked entry. All you need to do is fill in your playslip with the six numbers of your choice from 1 to 45. Decide how many games to play, and mark up to 18 on a single coupon in-store.
A QuickPick is an easy method to play where your numbers are generated at random when you ask for a ticket. You just have to decide how many games to play. In Western Australia, a QuickPick is known as a Slikpik but works in the same way.
You can select a system entry and choose more than the usual six numbers to boost your chances of winning. Pick between seven and 20 numbers on your playslip and mark the relevant system. Every combination of six numbers within your chosen set will be entered into the draw.
Instead of selecting six numbers, you can play a Pick 4 or Pick 5 entry on Monday Lotto and only choose four or five numbers. This type of entry guarantees that you will always match one or two numbers because every number you don’t pick will be played alongside the ones you have.
A lottery syndicate is a group of players who team up together to buy tickets. You share any prizes you win, but you can also purchase multiple entries more cheaply because you are splitting the cost of playing. You can join a syndicate in-store that has already been set up, or sort one out with work mates or friends, selecting the entry type of your choice. Visit the Syndicates page for more information.
You can play Monday Lotto up to 10 weeks in advance, while you can also register for a Player Card in your state to make playing in a store even easier. If your tickets are linked to your card, your lottery provider will be able to see if you have won a prize and contact you to help you claim the money. The cost of playing Monday Lotto starts from $2.40 for a set of four games.
