Monday and Wednesday Lotto
Wednesday Lotto was launched on 21st November 1984 as a second weekly draw to accompany Monday Lotto. The two games are played in exactly the same way and are packaged together as Monday & Wednesday Lotto. Go to the Monday Lotto page to find out more about the game that started in 1979, including all the Monday results.
Wednesday Lotto is known by slightly different names in different parts of the country - Wednesday Gold Lotto in Queensland and Wednesday X Lotto in South Australia – but it is the same game everywhere.
It also offers regular promotions such as Double Your Win draws and Cashcade Celebrations, which both boost the value of lower-division prizes. In Double Your Win draws, also known as Double Win Days in Western Australia, every payout below the jackpot is automatically doubled.
Cashcade Celebrations guarantee that $1 million will be paid out. If nobody wins the top prize, the special $1 million prize is split between winners in all other divisions. The percentage of the $1 million that goes to each category is shown below:
- Division 2 - 4.2%
- Division 3 - 6.5%
- Division 4 - 18.5%
- Division 5 - 26.3%
- Division 6 - 44.5%
