Wednesday Lotto

Wednesday Lotto is a game that boasts a fixed Division 1 prize of $1 million per winner. Even if there are two, three or four jackpot winners in a draw, they all receive a seven-figure payout. There are also five other prize divisions.

Draws take place at approximately 7:30pm AEST every Wednesday night, with ticket sales closing around one hour before. The game also runs alongside the Monday Lotto every week. Choose from the links below to learn more about the game.

Monday Lotto and Wednesday Lotto have now come to an end. The games have been replaced by the new Weekday Windfall lottery, which is drawn on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

    Monday and Wednesday Lotto

    Wednesday Lotto was launched on 21st November 1984 as a second weekly draw to accompany Monday Lotto. The two games are played in exactly the same way and are packaged together as Monday & Wednesday Lotto.     Wednesday Lotto is known by slightly different names in different parts of the country - Wednesday Gold Lotto in Queensland and Wednesday X Lotto in South Australia – but it is the same game everywhere.

    It also offers regular promotions such as Double Your Win draws and Cashcade Celebrations, which both boost the value of lower-division prizes. In Double Your Win draws, also known as Double Win Days in Western Australia, every payout below the jackpot is automatically doubled.

    Cashcade Celebrations guarantee that $1 million will be paid out. If nobody wins the top prize, the special $1 million prize is split between winners in all other divisions. The percentage of the $1 million that goes to each category is shown below:
