Ways to Play Wednesday Lotto
Wednesday Lotto tickets are available from newsagencies and convenience stores throughout Australia. It’s an easy game to play and you can choose from a number of options. The different entry types are described below:
Marked Entry
To play a standard marked entry, you just need to choose your own six numbers from 1 to 45. Mark the numbers on your playslip and take it to the store clerk to pay for your entry. The minimum cost is $2.50 for four games. You can mark as many as 18 games on a single coupon in-store.
QuickPick/Slikpiks
If you’re not sure which numbers to play or just want a fast way to enter the game, you can ask for a QuickPick or select this option on your playslip. A random set of six numbers from 1 to 45 will be printed on your ticket. In Western Australia this method is known as a Slikpik.
System Entry
With a system entry, you can choose between seven and 20 numbers instead of the usual six. Every combination of six numbers within your chosen set will be entered into the draw. It’s a great way to quickly boost your chances of winning but you have to pay for each combination.
Pick Entry
This entry type guarantees that you will match at least one or two winning numbers. You pick four or five numbers rather than six. Every number you don’t choose will be entered alongside the ones you have selected, so you have to play 820 games for a Pick 4 and 40 for a Pick 5.
Syndicates
When you form a syndicate, you join forces with others to play together. It allows you to submit multiple entries in a more affordable way as the cost of entry is divided equally between everyone in the group. The main advantage here is that it boosts your chances of winning. Advance Entries
You can enter Wednesday Lotto up to 10 draws in advance. You can pick any future draw to play in that period without having to enter all the draws leading up to that point. Alternatively, you can submit a multi-week entry if you want to play your numbers in consecutive draws, up to a maximum of 10 weeks.
