To play Saturday Gold Lotto, you are required to select six numbers from 1 to 45. You need to get your entries in before 7:30pm on a Saturday night. Here’s a full step-by-step guide:

• Choose your numbers. You can select six of your own from 1 to 45 using a marked entry, get a Quick Pick if you want a random set, or even submit a system entry. A system entry allows you to choose more than six numbers, giving you more chances to win.
• Specify how many draws you want your numbers to be entered into, up to a maximum of 10 in advance.
• Purchase your tickets. The cost of entry is $3.30 for four games.
• Keep your tickets safe and wait for the draw to take place and
• Check your Gold Lotto numbers against the official results.

When the Saturday Gold Lotto draw takes place, eight numbers are drawn at random. The six main balls are drawn first, followed by two supplementary numbers from the remaining 39. These supplementary numbers exist to create additional prize divisions.

Gold Lotto Dividends

Gold Lotto has six prize divisions so you can win even without matching all of the numbers. In fact, only three of your six numbers have to be the same as the six main numbers for you to receive a payout. Match all six and you win a share of the $5 million jackpot. The game is so popular and so many tickets are sold that there are usually multiple winners of the Division 1 prize every Saturday, but the jackpot does carry over to the next week if nobody wins.

Saturday Gold Lotto Superdraws are held occasionally throughout the year and work in exactly the same way as regular draws, except that the Division 1 prize is bumped up to $20 million. Once a year there is also a Megadraw, which offers a jackpot of $30 million to celebrate the Christmas and New Year period.
