Saturday Lotto Megadraws

Saturday Lotto Megadraws usually take place annually to celebrate the Christmas and New Year time. The top prize is raised to $30 million or more regardless of whether the top prize is won in the preceding draw.

Megadraws operate under the same rules as regular draws, with the only difference being the size of the Division 1 prize. Just like a regular Saturday Lotto game, you must match all six main numbers drawn if you are to win the jackpot.

In the event that no player successfully matches all six main numbers drawn, the top prize will roll over, or jackpot, to the following draw, though there are usually several winners in the Division 1 category during a Megadraw.

Megadraws also offer five other ways to win just like standard draws, so you still pick up a prize if you match three or more of the main numbers.

Previous Megadraws

Megadraws traditionally take place once a year in late December or early January. In the draw on 31st December 2021, there were 17 winning tickets. The Division 1 prize had been boosted to a record $40 million, and each lucky player received a $2.3 million share of the jackpot.
