How to Play Lotto Strike
You play Lotto Strike by picking four numbers from 1 to 45 and indicating which order you think those numbers will be drawn in. The game is only available in New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory, and it has to be added on to Monday Lotto, Wednesday Lotto or Saturday Lotto. You cannot play Lotto Strike as a standalone game or if you are located in a different part of Australia. Find out more about how to play Lotto Strike and how to win.
How Lotto Strike Works
The Lotto Strike results are taken from the winning numbers for Monday Lotto, Wednesday Lotto and Saturday Lotto. The first four numbers, in the order they are drawn, make up the winning line. There is not a separate draw for Lotto Strike.
The challenge is not only to match the four numbers, but also to try and match them in the right order. You have until 7:30pm AEST on the night of the draw to submit your entries.
Ways to Play
There are various ways to play, but first you have to decide whether to enter Lotto Strike with Monday Lotto, Wednesday Lotto or Saturday Lotto.
Marked Entry
You can choose your own four numbers from 1 to 45, putting them in the order you think they will appear. Alternatively, you can have your numbers randomly selected for you. The cost of Lotto Strike is $1.15 per game and it’s possible to play up to 10 games on a single coupon in-store.
Advance and Multi-Week Entries
If you don’t want to miss out on any Lotto Strike draws, you can get a multi-week entry to play up to 10 consecutive draws. An advance entry allows you to enter a particular draw in the future, up to 10 weeks ahead, without having to enter every single game in the intervening time.
Boxed Entry
With a Boxed entry, your four numbers are entered in every possible combination. This increases your chances of winning as you know that, if your numbers are selected, you win a prize regardless of whether they are drawn first, second, third or fourth. For example, if you play a regular marked entry with the numbers 10, 20, 30 and 40, you are relying on the number 10 being drawn first, 20 being drawn second, and so on. If you play the same numbers as a Boxed entry, you are actually submitting 24 entries instead of one, as follows:
- 10, 20, 30, 40
- 10, 20, 40, 30
- 10, 30, 20, 40
- 10, 30, 40, 20

- 30, 10, 20, 40
- 30, 10, 40, 20
- 30, 20, 10, 40
- 30, 20, 40, 10
- 30, 40, 10, 20

While a Boxed entry boosts your chances of winning, the cost also increases as you have to pay for each combination.
