Massive Saturday Lotto Megadraw Jackpot Split 15 Ways

Last Updated: Monday 4th January 2016, 14:08 pm

The Saturday Lotto Megadraw on 2nd January put a magnificent Division One prize of $30 million up for grabs, and there were 15 lucky players who each managed to land a share of the jackpot. It has been a memorable start to the new year for Australian lottery fans, with the Powerball top prize also rocketing to $70 million for the draw on Thursday 7th January.

Saturday Lotto, also sometimes known as X Lotto, Gold Lotto and Tatts Lotto, offers Megadraws from time to time to give ticket holders the opportunity to pocket bigger prizes than usual, and the latest edition did not disappoint as 1.4 million participants earned cash rewards.

The winning numbers on Saturday 2nd January were 3, 10, 31, 40, 44 and 45 with supplementary numbers 37 and 38. The 15 players who matched all six main numbers each won $2 million and were spread across the country, with three winning tickets purchased in Western Australia. Take a look at the Australia Lottery Results page for more information and a full prize breakdown from Saturday’s big game.

The latest Powerball draw, on Thursday 31st December, failed to produce a jackpot winner as nobody matched all six main numbers plus the Powerball. The top prize has now not been won since Thursday 12th November, when three players split $70 million, and the First Division prize has now reached the same amount. If there is another rollover, the record Powerball jackpot of $80 million could be under threat in the following draw.

Whether you want to play Powerball or take part in the next Saturday Lotto draw, you can purchase Australian lottery tickets online from wherever you are in the world or from authorised retailers in Australia. There are some huge prizes on offer and the large number of jackpot winners in the latest Saturday Lotto draw shows that dreams can come true. Best of luck!
