An Australia Saturday Lotto winner has admitted they have their bad memory to thank after their family came forward to collect two Division One prizes. The family, from Kalbarri in West Australia, matched all six main numbers in the draw on 14th November after playing with their usual line.
However, they forgot that they had already entered the draw and so bought another ticket, also from Kalbarri News & Gift Centre. There were 12 winners who shared the $4.1 million jackpot, and the lucky family ended up scooping $699,663 rather than $349,831. Speaking to the West Australian, the winner said: “Never has someone’s bad memory paid off so well. You can’t believe how wonderful this is. We broke down in tears when we were told not only we’d won Lotto but we’d won twice.”
The family had written down everything they would like to do before the draw took place and are now looking forward to moving house, going on a fantastic holiday and providing financial security for their children. Check out all the latest numbers and prize breakdowns in the Australia Lottery Results section.
Saturday Lotto again produced a number of big winners in the latest draw on 21st November as three ticket holders shared the top prize of $4.1 million, taking home $1.3 million each. There will be another $4 million up for grabs on Saturday night, and you can enter now by playing online wherever you are in the world or by popping down to an authorised retailer if you are in Australia. Best of luck!
