Weekday Windfall Dividends and Odds

In Weekday Windfall (or Millionaire Medley in Western Australia), you can win prizes of up to $1 million. You have to match all six main numbers to get the jackpot, but if you miss out there are still five other prize divisions. Find out more about all the dividends and odds of winning.

In each draw, eight numbers from 1 to 45 are randomly selected. The six main numbers are drawn first, followed by two supplementary numbers. The best you can do is match all six main numbers. This will reward you with a windfall of $1 million.

The $1 million prize is per winner, so it does not even matter if there multiple winners - you would not have to share the jackpot. However, the most that can be paid out in total for Division 1 is $6 million, so in the unlikely scenario that there are more than six winners, they would have to share the whole prize fund.

Below Division 1, prizes start for matching one main ball and both supplementary numbers. The following table shows all the dividends, odds of winning and how the prize fund is split.

The prize pool percentages in the table above refer to how much money goes to Divisions 2 to 6. The top division works differently, as the prize fund is allowed to accumulate and be held in reserve if there are no winners or it does not all get paid out. This ensures that winners of future draws will receive the specified prize of $1 million each (or a share of $6 million if necessary). If the money allocated to Division 1 is not sufficient to pay out the advertised prize, the lottery provider must subsidise the shortfall from its own funds.

If you win a prize, the next step is to claim your money. The method depends on various factors, such as whether you played online or in-store, how much you won and the state in which you bought your ticket. Go the page on Claiming Prizes to find out how you go about receiving your winnings.
