How do I play Mega Jackpot?

Playing Mega Jackpot is quick and easy. Simply choose how many numbers you want to play (you can play up to 10 numbers in one draw), what order you want them in (choose between random or sequential selection) and how many draws you want to enter (you can enter from 1 single draw up to 11 consecutive draws). When do the draws take place?

As the Mega Jackpot draw can only take place once the 270,000 available tickets have been sold, this makes the draw times very unpredictable.

Can I enter draws in advance?

Yes. You can enter the Advance draw which lets you enter up to 11 consecutive draws. You can also subscribe to all future draws when playing online. This is helpful due to the Mega Jackpot draws being held randomly – you will never miss a draw.

How much does a ticket cost?

The cost of one number in the Mega Jackpot is $5.50.

What is the current jackpot?

The Mega Jackpot currently stands at $3.16 Million.

How do I win a prize?

To win a prize you need to match the winning numbers exactly for each prize level. It is possible win consolation prizes by being one number away from the winning numbers or if your number is pulled out for the jackpot but doesn’t win.

What are the odds of winning?

The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 9,483,168 and the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 16.14.

How do I find out if I’ve won a prize?

To check if you’ve won a prize you can use the Ticket Checker. This allows you to input your numbers and check them against the winning numbers for the past year. Alternatively you can check the Latest Results straight after the draw to see if your number is there.

How do I claim my winnings?

The claiming process depends on whether you have played online or in-store. The process is also slightly different depending on the value of the win. Go to the How to Claim page for more details.

What is the minimum jackpot?

The minimum jackpot for Super Jackpot is $1,000,000 which increases by $240,000 if the jackpot is not won.

Could my prize ever be lower than advertised?

It is possible for the jackpot advertised to be won just before your game is drawn. This is due to the unpredictable nature of the Mega Jackpot. There is no way to predict when the draws will take place as they can only be held once all the tickets have been purchased.

Are the prize amounts fixed?

Yes. The prize amounts from 1st prize to 10th prize are fixed. For example; there will always be 10 winners of $500 in the 5th prize level. You can view more about the prize levels on the Dividends page.

What is a sequential ticket?

A sequential ticket is where your numbers will be allocated to you in numerical order as opposed to a random order. For example; sequential would be 11, 12, 13 and random would be 26, 83, 75.
