Saturday Lotto Superdraw Boosts Jackpot For 28th October

Last Updated: Tuesday 24 October 2017, 10:17 am

Saturday Lotto fans across Australia will have the chance to dream of winning a huge Superdraw jackpot this weekend, after the First Division prize for 28th October was raised to a magnificent $21 million.

Multiple Winners

Superdraws take place from time to time throughout the year and boost the top prize to a fixed amount regardless of what has happened in the previous draw. Three lucky players split just over $4 million in Saturday’s regular draw, but the jackpot has still been increased to a phenomenal eight-figure sum.

There are often multiple winners in Superdraws, and in the last big draw on 2nd September there were 12 ticket holders who scooped $1.6 million each after matching all six main numbers, while a total of 1,144,540 participants picked up prizes.

Players across Australia will now be flocking to take part on Saturday, including one lady from Waikiki who feels she could be in for some more good fortune after an accidental purchase left her $33,000 better off.

Luck Comes in Threes

The woman and her husband play Lotto with spare change, but on this occasion they did not enter the game they intended when they visited Shoalwater News and Lotteries and bought a ticket for Super66.

"We actually stuffed up and bought the wrong ticket – we'd never heard of Super66 before and even thought about returning it,” she recalled in the Brisbane Times. “$33,000 later we're glad we didn't. I thought my hubby was going to hit the deck when we realised we'd won.”

“They say good things come in threes – the [Richmond] Tigers won the [AFL] Grand Final, we won Super66 and, with the $21 million Superdraw on Saturday, we might see you again on Monday.”

If you’re feeling similarly lucky, you can try to grab a share of the Saturday Lotto Superdraw jackpot by choosing numbers online or going to an authorised retailer in Australia. Best of luck!
