Australia Powerball Jackpot Reaches $70 Million

The largest First Division Australia Powerball prize of 2015 will be up for grabs on Thursday night as players across the country and around the world put in their entries for the chance to win the enormous sum of $70 million. Due to a series of six rollovers, the jackpot is edging closer to the all-time record of $80 million, which was shared by two top prize winners on Thursday 30th July 2009.
The top prize on one of Australia’s biggest lottery games hasn’t reached such a height since August 2014, when two players split $71.8 million to walk away with $35.9 million each. However, this year has still been good to Powerball players, with two First Division prizes of $50 million have been been won on Thursday 28th May and Thursday 23rd July, with smaller payouts landing in lucky winners’ pockets since January.
Realising that you’ve scooped $70 million after tomorrow’s draw would be quite a lot to process, and most big lottery winners are advised to take a holiday to let the news sink in for a bit. With that much cash in your bank account, you could jet off to Bali and stay in the Village Suite at the Amandari Resort in Ubud. Separate from the rest of the hotel and only accessible by a pebbled path, this gorgeous suite offers 220 square metres of space in which to stretch out and relax. You’ll have access to your own private garden, an outdoor bathtub made of marble, a king-sized bed and your own personal bar. At $1,179 per night, a week spent there would be a drop in the bucket compared to your winnings!
No matter how you’d spend the cash if you won, you need to buy Australia Powerball tickets online or from authorised retailers for the chance to make your dreams come true. Don’t forget to check the results on Australia.National-Lottery.com to see if you’ve won big. Good luck!
