The Saturday Lotto Superdraw on 25th March has left members of a Perth syndicate ‘ready for a pint or two’ after the group claimed a share of the gigantic $21 million First Division Prize. There were five winning tickets in total, each receiving $4.2 million, as players from across Australia took advantage of the opportunity to play in the latest big draw.
The numbers drawn on Saturday were 16, 20, 23, 28, 35 and 39, with supplementary numbers 4 and 27. Two of the five tickets which matched all six main numbers were bought in Western Australia, including the entry belonging to the lucky syndicate. There are ten members of the group, who are all now $420,000 richer.
One of the men, a construction worker in his 50s, told reporters: “I’ve been slogging it out for a long time. I’m yet to celebrate but I plan to have a pint or two over dinner. Almost half a million dollars is definitely beer worthy.”
The ticket was bought at the Vaucluse Newsagency in South Perth, and the owners were particularly delighted after only taking over the store six months ago. Angela Misackowski said: “It’s an incredible result but we just had this feeling we were going to have a big win. I can’t describe how wonderful it is to know you’ve made not only one but 10 of your customers Division 1 Lotto winners.”
You can check out the Saturday Lotto Results page to find a full prize breakdown of Saturday’s results, before looking ahead to the rest of this week’s great draws. There are $15 million jackpots in both Oz Lotto and Powerball, and you can pick your numbers online now or visit any authorised retailer in Australia. Good luck!
