The Saturday Lotto Superdraw delivered a spooky coincidence on Halloween as two players from neighbouring suburbs each grabbed a share of the $20 million First Division prize. There were 20 winners of the top prize in the eagerly-awaited draw on Saturday 31st October, who pocketed $1 million apiece after matching all six of the main numbers drawn. The winning line was 10, 14, 19, 20, 27 and 37 with Supplementary Numbers 13 and 29, with a full prize breakdown from the night available on the Results page.
Ticket holders from around the country enjoyed success and two of the newly-created millionaires came from Western Australia. Both of the lucky winners bought their entries in southern Perth, with one sold at Myaree Newsextra Newsagency and the other at Melville Newspower in Bicton.
Wayne Martinovich, the store owner in Myaree, was delighted and surprised to discover that two winning tickets had been purchased so close together. He told the West Australian: “I’d say this is a very lucky area! It’s been almost 12 months since we last sold a Division 1 winner and we were due another one.”
There have now been 88 First Division winners from Western Australia in 2015, making it the best-ever year for the state, and there will be another chance for players to scoop a life-changing amount of money in the next Saturday Lotto draw.
The Australian Powerball jackpot has also grown to a magnificent $50 million ahead of the next draw on Thursday following a run of five straight rollovers. If you’re a fan of either Powerball or Saturday Lotto, you can buy tickets now by either playing online or visiting any authorised retailer in Australia.
