A woman from Queensland and another from New South Wales have both expressed their surprise after sharing a Division One prize of $30 million in Tuesday night’s Oz Lotto draw. They are now looking forward to being able to set up their families for the future, but they will not rush into any big decisions about how to spend their money.

The winning numbers for the $30 million draw were 5, 18, 30, 34, 37, 38 and 41, with Supplementary numbers 11 and 28. The jackpot had been growing for four draws, but two players finally managed to match all seven main numbers on Tuesday to pick up $15 million each. New South Wales Winner
The first player to have their win confirmed was a mother from Penrith who bought her ticket online and was left ‘speechless’ when she logged back on to check her numbers. Speaking to NSW Lotteries, she said: “My heart was pounding. I thought ‘no, this is fake. It’s still not real’. That’s just an enormous magnitude of money and I just can’t fathom it.”
The lucky lady had been using the same numbers - a combination of family birthdays and other special numbers - for three years, but never expected to win one of the top prizes and does not intend to let this fantastic opportunity go to waste. “I won’t get carried away. I won’t do stupid stuff that’s for sure. It’s been really tough. This will make it a lot easier.
Speaking about her plans for the future, the woman, who has decided to remain anonymous, added: “I will set my kids up, so this is awesome. I can buy a house and we can eat steaks for dinner! But first I’m going to go and have a shower and ponder this for a bit.”
A woman from Townsville in Queensland was later revealed to be the day’s second jackpot winner, and was left in a similar state of shock. She said: “Oh god! That was just a QuickPick! I play all the games and when it’s a big one I always get a QuickPick. I’ve got to get off the floor! It hasn’t sunk in yet.”
The lady, who purchased her 18-game QuickPick from newsXpress Garbutt Central, Shop 1, Garbutt Central, 221 Ingham Road, Garbutt, added: “I’ve never had that much. We were never sort of that lucky – but maybe the luck has turned. I’ll just sit down and think about it for a few months, rather than rush into anything.”
The biggest jackpot now available in Australia is the $15 million Division One prize on offer in Powerball, while you can also set your sights on glory in Monday Lotto, Wednesday Lotto and Saturday Lotto.
