Oz Lotto Jackpot Up To $30 Million

As lottery players around Australia look forward to this week’s draws and eyes are drawn to the $30 million jackpot in Oz Lotto, one man from Point Cook, Victoria has claimed a remarkable double success after winning two-thirds of the Saturday Lotto First Division prize.
The lucky winner played the same line twice by mistake, but was rewarded for his forgetfulness as the numbers 4, 16, 22, 34, 36 and 38 were drawn. As another player from Western Australia had also matched the six main numbers, the man from Point Cook grabbed two shares of the $3.9 million top prize.
He says he will now definitely be getting a Ferrari with his $2.6 million, having just missed out on a First Division prize by one number a few years ago. Explaining how he managed to win, the lucky player suggested it had something to do with his liking for even numbers.
The man, who has decided to stay anonymous, said: “I never usually play the same game twice – it wasn’t intentional, it just happened! I just really like even numbers. When I saved my first ever 12-game Quick Pick entry to my online account I noticed there was one line that had a set of all even numbers, so I wrote it down and saved it as a favourite game to play again on another ticket, maybe in Powerball. So what must have happened is that I forgot I’d duplicated that line and just played my first ever entry again as well as my favourite game in the same TattsLotto draw!”
You can check out the latest winning numbers for all Australian Lottery Results as you consider your strategy for picking numbers for this week’s draws. The most recent Oz Lotto draw last Tuesday also featured six even selections out of the seven main numbers, if you want to take inspiration from how the man from Point Cook played.
The Oz Lotto jackpot has not been won since two players split $5 million on 27th December, while there has not been a bigger First Division prize up for grabs since $40 million was shared between two ticket holders last August. If you want to enter tomorrow night’s draw for the chance to win $30 million, tickets are available online or from authorised retailers in Australia. You could even play twice like the winner from Point Cook!
