Oz Lotto Hits $40 Million for Tuesday 24th May

The Oz Lotto Division 1 prize pool has jackpotted to $40 million ahead of the draw on Tuesday 24th May. There have now been six draws without a winner since the top prize was last scooped on 5th April, when two players shared $5 million, and tomorrow’s bounty equals the largest Oz Lotto prize paid out in 2016 so far.
The last time the Division 1 prize hit $40 million was Tuesday 22nd March, when a couple from Western Australia bagged the full amount. The winners revealed they had worked 15 hour days, seven days a week for a decade to support their family before their numbers came up, admitting they had not been able to afford to run a car during that time. The pair chose to remain anonymous, but it is known that they are grandparents and purchased their winning ticket from a newsagency in Harvey, a 140km drive from Perth.
They revealed they would use the cash to finally buy their own home, support their kids and upgrade to business class flights rather than shop around the budget airlines. The grandfather also mentioned that they would now be able to order room service at hotels, but stated they would also holiday in their caravan.
Matching all seven main numbers in this week’s Oz Lotto draw would allow you the freedom to enjoy the luxuries in life that you might not otherwise be able to justify splashing out on. With $40 million in your bank account, you could treat yourself to fine dining or a VIP upgrade without feeling guilty or wondering how you will pay off the credit card.
