Australia Powerball First Division Prize Climbs To $30 Million

Last Updated: Wednesday 14th June 2017, 08:58 am

Australian lottery fans will have an opportunity to play for a huge sum on Thursday night after Powerball’s First Division prize grew to a sensational $30 million. The top prize has been climbing since an unemployed man from Sydney won $50 million on 11th May, and players across the country are now setting their sights on another wonderful win.

An exciting few weeks for lottery players has also seen one young mother from Cairns win $40 million in the Oz Lotto draw on 30th May, and Tatts Lotto spokesman Matt Hart is looking forward to finding out what a difference the latest big prize could make to someone. He said: “As Australia’s biggest jackpotting game, Powerball is the ticket to an extraordinary life. Imagine what you could do with $30 million!”

Hart added: “For our two recent big jackpot winners, the tens of millions of dollars may have just landed into their bank accounts, but already they have some big plans for transforming their lives.” He said that previous winners had done everything from paying off their mortgage and retiring early, to travelling the world and helping their loved ones.

The latest Powerball prize will allow any lucky winner to fulfil their dreams, and if it is not given away this week it will rise to an estimated $50 million for the following draw. There are seven prize tiers apart from the First Division, and last week 399,689 lucky players picked up cash rewards. Check out the Powerball Results section for more information.

If you want to be in with a chance of winning Thursday’s $30 million prize, you can select numbers online or visit any authorised retailer in Australia. Best of luck!
