Saturday Lotto Prize Dividends

There are six prize divisions in Saturday Lotto draws. The fewest balls you can match to win a dividend are three main numbers. Prizes then increase the more numbers you match, starting from three main numbers and at least one of the two supplementary numbers. The Division 1 prize, often referred to as the jackpot, is won by matching all six numbers.

The table below details all six prize divisions, the odds of winning in each division and some details of the dividends from the last three months.

The jackpot in each Saturday Lotto draw is estimated to start at around the $5 million mark, but this can vary slightly depending on the number of tickets sold. Should the Division 1 prize not be won in a draw then it will be jackpotted to the following Saturday and will double to at least $10 million. It is, however, very unusual for the Division 1 prize to not be won and it can typically go years with winners in every single draw.

Superdraws, which increase the Division 1 dividend to $20 million, take place several times a year, and less frequently there are Megadraws, which increase the jackpot even further to $30 million. These draws do not affect the payouts in the other prize divisions though, as these remain around the same value as a standard Saturday Lotto draw.

A percentage of the prize fund is allocated to each division, as follows: Division 1 gets 32.75%, Division 2 gets 3.70%, Division 3 gets 5.60%, Division 4 gets 8.30%, Division 5 gets 12.25%, and Division 6 gets 37.40%.
